In 1984 I was assigned to Didinga, an Eastern-Sudanic (Eastern) language that belongs to the group of Southwest-Surmic languages spoken in southern Sudan.
Areas of interest are dictionary making (presently the draft with about 5,500 words is under review by a group of Didinga speakers; a revision is planned using semantic domains), phonology (consonants and vowels together with ATR described in paper for OPSL 9), grammar, discourse.
